There are 4 words that the Lord has given me for 2012:

Kingdom, Seed, Melech, Zedek.

As I prayed and pondered these words yesterday, the Holy Spirit has shown me the following:

The number "12" links with the Kingdom of God. The 12th son of Jacob was Benjamin, meaning "son of my right hand." The right hand is the place of authority and rulership. You can have the blessing of "11", but only when you reach "12" can you graduate into the throne or "kingdom" realm. 1 Cor. 6:9 "...the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom..." Who are the unrighteous? Notice that Paul is not addressing unbelievers, he is addressing believers! You can be saved but still live an unrighteous life. You can live on earth and benefit from the New Covenant, but if your life is not pleasing to God and you are not in "right" standing with Him, you cannot rule and reign with Him in His kingdom.

This brings us to the 2nd word of the original 4..."Zedek". Zedek means "righteousness". Matt. 6:33 "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness..." Notice that the scripture does not state to seek first the blessing of God, nor the gifts of God, but the KINGDOM of God. And we don't stop there. We must see that the connection of the kingdom and righteousness go hand in hand. You cannot enter the "kingdom" realm without righteousness. And what exactly is righteousness? It is right standing with God in every area of your life. We must become righteous in thought, word and deed. This is the "Holy of Holies" people. Those who are not content with the "status quo". It represents the true Bride of Christ who are not mixed with worldliness and carnality and who are not embracing the watered -down, seeker friendly, motivational messages of "so called" church leaders. The righteous people of God live in the world but have not been influenced by the world. They are righteous but NOT self-righteousness. Their righteousness is the righteousness of Christ.

The 3rd word is "Melech" meaning "king". This word links with "Melchizedek", King of Salem and Priest of the Most High God. Notice in Gen. 14:18 that Melchizedek suddenly makes an appearance and blesses Abraham. He is also "priest and king", and represents the Lord Himself, who is the King of Kings and the Great High Priest. He is not mentioned again in the life of Abraham after this appearance but something amazing takes place shortly after his visit. In Gen. 15, God visits Abraham in a vision. He promises that he will have a son and then mentions the 4th word..."seed".

"As the number of the stars, so shall thy SEED be. And he believed in the Lord and it counted to him for "righteousness." Only after Abraham was visited by the King of Righteousness was he ready for the promise of a righteous "seed"! And God waited until Abraham was old, and could not produce on his own before He quickened Him. Then Isaac was born. From Isaac's seed came Jacob, from Jacob came Judah, and from Judah's seed came JESUS! From the quickened seed of Abraham came the reality of Melchizedek! Jesus Christ, the King and Priest, without beginning or end! Blessed be His Name! Jesus, the Holy Seed, has come to begin a new generation, not birthed after the flesh, but after the Spirit. He is the righteous King who carries a righteous seed to produce a righteous people to reign in the Kingdom of Righteousness! Here you have it...the original 4 words that the Lord gave me for this year...Seed, King, Kingdom, Righteousness!

As we proceed into 2012, I pray that God will prepare us to rule and reign with Him in righteousness. Psalm 112 is important to meditate upon in this year as we see the words "righteousness" and "seed" being addressed. The number 12 also links with the midnight hour. The church is approaching the midnight hour, but are we ready and waiting for His return? Do we have oil in our lamps and are our garments white and pure without spot, wrinkle and blemish? Are we truly consecrated and separated from the worldly influences? Will He find us "ready" to meet Him, or will we be caught off guard? Friend, this is a serious hour that we are living in. Search your heart. Get right with God. Seek Him with all your heart. Get prepared now before it is too late. Don't let this year be wasted on carnal, temporary pleasures that have no eternal gain. Seek FIRST HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!

May this word encourage you and also challenge you in your walk with God.
