Lydia from New Orleans asks:Of all the Old Testament prophets, why were Moses and Elijah chosen to appear and talk with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration?

Brother D answer: Moses represents the giver of the law and Elijah represents the prophets. Jesus is the fulfiller of the law and the prophets. He is the fulfiller of what the law required and what the prophets prophesied. After their discourse, Moses and Elijah departed and only Jesus was left with the 3 disciples on the mountain. In the gospel (Jesus), the law and the prophets are fulfilled.

Katherine from Florida asks: Why were there 3 conversions given in detail in Acts 8, 9, and 10? (The Ethiopian Treasurer, Saul, and Cornelius)

Brother D answer: They are representative of the various nations of the earth from whom the Lord will make up His church. The Ethiopian is linked with Ham, Saul is linked with Shem, and Cornelius is linked with Japheth. From these 3 sons of Noah, the entire world was populated and these 3 conversions speak of the great multitude out of all nations that will stand before the throne of God in Revelation 7:9

Judy from Canada asks: Why did Jesus wait 4 days to raise Lazarus from the dead?

Brother D answer: Lazarus represents man dead in trespasses and sins. Lazarus raised from the dead represents man set free from sin and brought into fellowship with God. Since a day with the Lord is as a thousand years, 4 days representative of 4 thousand years, would be the time frame in which Jesus would come to earth to set man free from sin. From the time that Adam sinned in the garden to the birth of Jesus was a period of 4000 years. Jesus came that we might have life and have it MORE abundantly.
